Warm It Up!

S: Oooooh, how I love the warm sun! I don't know why Daddykitty complains about the heat so much - this is the life!

K: Cats like to be a lot warmer than people. They start to feel uncomfortable when their skin temperature gets higher than about 112(F (44.5(C), but cats don't start to feel uncomfortable until their skin reaches about 126(F (52(C).

S: . . . yea . . . this is nice . . .

K:
The weather is starting to change though - much cooler in the evenings, and the sun spots are shifing in the house!

S:
But we have a fireplace too . . . also very comfy warmth . . . makes . . . me . . . sleepy . . . Zzzzzz

K: I also like to straddle the floor heater vent. Another one of my favorite warming spots is under the desk lamp on Daddykitty's desk. Mmmmm . . . warm!

K: Ooooh . . . and under the lamp on Mommakitty's printer . . . Zzzzzzz . . .

May you have warmth in your igloo, oil in your lamp, and peace in your heart.

I love sleeping in warm places too. We have a fire place here but I don't think we have ever used it. I'll have to talk to my human pet about that one to try!

Oh, you kitties all look so relaxed and cozy. Love the sleeping by the fire.

We have a fireplace, but have never used it. In Houston, winter is 50 degrees F on a "bitter cold" day.

Once when I was a little guy I wanted to be warmer so I jumped up on the wood heater while it had a fire in it. Yow!!!! That was dumb. I burned the bottom of all 4 feet and Mom had to put aloe vera on them every couple hours but I always licked it off. Even now I will come and lick aloe vera if I smell it.

Thanks for visiting our blog and we have added you to our links.

We love the window by our bed. The sun heats up our fur just right. We don't have a fireplace but it looks really warm
