Tribute Tuesday:
Christmas Memorial

K: Thanks for all the visitors during Christmas time - we'll be posting our Christmas day photos tomorrow (Wed. 12/27) showing all our pressies. But today we have something more important to post.

S:
We are lighting this candle for our Grampakitty (Mommakitty's daddy), who passed away unexpectedly last December 26. He said he always wanted a kitty when he was a boy but his mama was alergic. So, when he came to visit, he spent quality time with us! We loved hangin' out with him and we miss him lots! He's probably playing with Misha & Geno in heaven (family kitties who passed on).

K: We knows he was an exceptional bean, and if you want, you can learn about him at our family website (click on his photo). This was the first Christmas Mommakitty spent without either of her parents - she could probably use some extra prayers and purrs during this holiday season.
In Memory of Grampakitty
6/17/29 ~ 12/26/05

Perhaps they are not the stars,
but rather openings in Heaven
where the love of our lost ones
pours through and shines down upon us
to let us know they are happy.

To mommakitty,

What a lovely tribute to your parents. I can see that you thought the world of them and I know you miss them a great deal.

How lucky you are to have had such interesting and loving parents. And you seem like a very nice person indeed and this is perhaps the best tribute of all.

My purrs are with you today. If I was allowed to play with matches, I would light a candle for you. What a great Grampakitty.

You will be in our thoughts today each time we look out the window onto the bay and the rock. Big purrs from Los Osos/Morro Bay.

That's a lovely tribute to your Grandpa. Purrs to your family.

Just wanted to stop by and let you know that we are all thinking of you. The first Holiday is always the worst (we lost my father-in-law in June). What a beautiful tribute and wonderful way to remember someone who meant so to much to you.

"As long we we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on-in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here".

That was nice. The Man's Dad died just a few months ago and I think parts of Christmas are hard on People when their parents are gone. It never seems fair. Even when it is, it jst doesnt feel fair.

That was a very nice tribute. The first year of holidays without such an important person there to share with you is the worst. Things do get better, little by little, but you will always remember them and I believe we continue to share our holidays with our missing loved ones simply by thinking, "Oh, he would have loved this."
