Tuesday Newsday
Hi, Sabi here - I gots an update on da freeky invader dudes. They was here all day yesterday walkin' and talkin' outside, and makin' other weird noises, and all while we were still hermetically sealed in da house.
Then late in da day, they started tearing' down da plastic wrap. I must say, that made me drool, especially since you all know I am a member of Plastic Lickers Anonymous (on Catster). They would walk around da house, pointin' at things, then lookin' at us through da window. I must admit, they didn't look so scary - and we didn't see any rabid monkeez outside either (whew).
Then I noticed something out in da yard - a sign . . .
Just like some of you suggested (from yer own experiences), these dudes was house painters!
I know we had you all worried yesterday, but da crisis is over. Da National Guard do not have to be alerted.
- Strange dudes were not so strange
- House gotted warshed good (spiders gone)
- House gotted a happy facelift
- No rabid monkeez
- No hazmat team
- We can breathe again
Now maybe Mommakitty will take us fer a stroll this afternoon and we can git a better view from da outside. Update tomorrow . . .
P.S. - I did not git to lick any plastic.

I'm glad to hear that it was nothing serious, and that your house was only being painted.
I am glad your house got all fixed up pretty. Now, you should get to go strollering!
Maybe dey left a little piece of plastic you can lick as long as it duzn't haf any paint on it.
Whew, glad is was just house painting. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you guys. Hope you get to go out in the stroller.

~Donny
Hmm... I like to bite plastic. As a fellow plastic lover, I am sorry to hear that you didn't get to lick it!
what color is they painting your house? purple?
Yummy plastic, glad to hear that everything turned out okay...Missy
Ok, MomBean is dumb, she's gigglin' over the 'execptional college students' line, wonderin' if there was a 'just woke up and need money students' version.
See? Dumb.
(And the last time she went to her kai-ro-practor she kept thinking of your post. Her Dr. couldn't figure out what was making her giggle...)
It sounds like you was being wrapped up like a present but whew they was just painters. We gots a brick house so we don't get painters. There are enuf scary people with noisy machines around without painters.
glad that you're not sealed in the house anymore! Samantha is a plastic and screen licker, so we understand your disappointment. Hope you get to go out in the stroller soon!
Phew! We's glad there weren't no rabid monkeez. Too bad yoo didn't get to lik the plastic tho, Sabi.
Purrrrrrrrs,
Sanjee
I did not know that there was a group for plastic lickers. This is great, I am going to have to join. Both Clyde and I love to lick plastic. Me more than Clyde.
Good to know you're free now! I wonder what the house looks like? But why did they put plastic around it if they were painting it? I'm confused, maybe things are different in America?
*whew*, I'm glad that effurything is okay and that there weren't no evil monkeys to worry about!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
I thought maybe your house was having to be fumigated for bugs....I am glad to hear it was getting painted rather than fumigated!!
Whew! I'm glad that's all over; I was worried about all that plastic wrapped around you all!
Wate, dey got rid of da spiders? Whatcha gonna hunt now? Well, we'z glad dat it was just painter guys and no rabid monkees. Time to go fur a stroll and check out da paint job.
That sounds like it was very worrisome. I'm glad that nothing bad happened.
HA! Ma had the student house painters do our house years ago. It needs another paint job soon, but dad now had one of those paint sticks that spray the paint on. The students do pretty good work, just missed a few places on the overhangs.
