Kimo: We are furry happy Daddykitty is home. But his homecoming was preceeded wif some sad fambly news.
Sabi: Lord Jaders Grrrandbean lost his battle wif esophogeal cancer Tuesday night. He was our Mommakitty's maternal uncle.
Kimo: Mommakitty's momma had survived cancer, twice (cervical & colon), though she passed away 3 yrs ago from a very rare disease called PSP. Mommakitty also had a maternal aunt who passed away from leukemia several yrs ago. Mommakitty now only has one surviving maternal aunt and one surviving maternal uncle, and he is da twin of Jaders Grrrandbean. It is a furry sad week.
Sabi: We is lighting a candle fer Lord Jaders immediate and extended fambly, and all those whose lives are challenged by cancer.
Kimo: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Da Cats at Zoolatry have made a badgie to remind us all.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. My dad's dad passed away a few years ago due to an inoperable brain tumour, and my dad's mom is a breast cancer survivor, and my moms's dad is a prostate cancer survivor. So they participate in lots of runs and races to raise money for cancer research and programs.

Our mommie used to be an RN and she did work in the hospital for a while.... she says cancer is a horrible disease, the worst!
She has to quit that job because she was crying too much... so she got a job with the bone doctors.
