Photo HuntThis week's theme is:
WOOD
Kimo: This is da wooden cat from da window which you saw on our Wednesday post. She is made from wood and is from Indonesia. Her name is Indy. She doesn't talk - we finks she is shy.
Sabi: This is another wooden thing in our house. His name is St. Francis of Assisi. He is da patron saint of animals and ecology. He is also made from wood and came from Mexico.
Kimo: Every year (usually in October) churches around the world host services where animals are blessed. These services are a powerful way to celebrate both St. Francis's and God's compassionate concern for all creatures.
Sabi: Our beans will bring photos of us to church wif them on da day to be blessed. They say we aren't allowed to go to church wif them on that day, even in da PTU, cuz sometimes there are some psycho crazy woofies there that would scare us.
Kimo: Mommakitty has St. Francis standing next to da front door to protect us from sneaking going out of doors. He is also furry quiet. We think he is just meditative.
Sabi: That's da WOOD of da day!
to see her example of WOOD.

Beautiful pieces for the theme. Enjoy your weekend.
They are two wondeful statues! I love them. Happy weekend
Hey Kimo and Sabi! The big one likes your wooden friends too and sent his own pic back.
Have a great weekend!
Those are lovely wooden sculptures! We especially like the cat. :)
The eyes of the cat statue looks a bit scary. Like they're staring right back at me! :P
MomBean said she was going to leave a piece of wood by the door to keep me from sneakin' out, but it said something like 'Louiville SLugger' on it or somethin'...
Those are pretty! I posted a carved wooden statue today, too.
Those are some cool photos of wooden statues. Mommy and Daddy went to Assisi on their Honeymoons (before we wuz ever even born) and they said it was beautiful. They got to see the real robe he wore up close! Any old guy who loves and blesses the animals is a friend in our book!

I really do like your Wood photos!
Mom wants to get a St. Francis of Assisi. She went to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in our town, and saw so many she couldn't decide!
Very good choice for Wood this week, Kimo and Sabi!

Those are furry nice wooden figures. It is nice that your mum takes your pikchurs to church to be blessed.
I think they are really special~!!!
Glad to see very different things~!
Those are beautiful things made from wood. You're lucky your beans take your photos to be blessed; it sounds very beautiful.
Those are lovely wooden pieces!
Nice wood things!!
I am glad that St. Francis watches over you two!
Cool pictures! I like the cat statue the best :)
We're especially fond of the cat sculpture!
Our Nana has lots of St. Statues around the house, but none of them are wooden. She use to bury a St someone upside down in the yard whenever she sold a house.
Indy's purrty and we like dem shy. Da Pastor at mom's church does a blessing in April fur kitties and other small pets and one in October fur woofies cuz he knows dat dem woofies sometimes scare kitties. Okay, we'z off to see yoor mom's wood. Headbumpies to yoor fambly and speshully Kiera.
Thanks for sharing.
I like your wooden friends. I'm sure St Francis keeps you safe.
Those WOODEN figures are beautiful! Especially the cat!!!
