We Accept Da DARE!

Kimo: We are finally gittin' around to accepting da DARE by Mr. Chen to save da environment. In this dare we are supposed to show how we work on saving da environment.

Sabi: Here we are in our condo. As you can see, it is made from cardboard, that can be recycled when we git tired of it. You can make a side-by-side duplex or a two-story condo. It's like a mobile home too cuz it can be moved. Here we are demonstrating da penthouse configuration.


Kimo: I likes to turn out da lights when we is not in a room and we changed da bulbs to them new piggy-tail shaped bulbs.


Sabi: We recycle our newspaper and other paper stuff like junk mail. Here I am sittin' in da paper recycling crate, which also doubles as a "time out" spot fer me.


Kimo: Instead of throwin' away them clingy "popcorn" thingies, we just send them to someone else!


Sabi: Here we are snoopervising da laundry. We recommended to Mommakitty that she hangs it outside on a good day to dry. It's a pretty boring snoopervision job unless it's furry windy, then da clothes dance around.


Kimo: Some of da other ways our fambly helps da environment:

- Our beans both drive Priuses

- We use biodegradable soaps

- We don't gots any air-conditioning in da house (we stay furry still when it's hot)

- Our yard is a zeriscape (that means we don't gots to water it much)

- We use cooking water to water da potted plants

- We reuse our shopping bags and have some canvas bags too

- We gits a good deal on our garbage bill cuz we opt fer a smaller garbage bin, but a larger recycle and green bin

- We use soapy water on da plants instead of pesticides

Sabi: There's probably more we do, but that's good fer now. We're tryin'.
