I gotted in trouble last night - but I hadded a good excuse. Da blurp went too far . . .
. . . and I thwapped her. It wuz wif a soft paw, and I didn't really thwap her - I thwapped AT her to let her know I wuz serious. It wuz justified.

Hi! I'm Kimo, a Seal Point Siamese. I'm a pretty laid-back dude. I enjoy birdwatching, sunbathing, desk lounging, collecting coins, snoopervising, watching reality TV, curling up by the fireplace, and long, long naps. |
And I'm Sabi, a Domestic Shorthair. Some say I'm ADHD. I enjoy running, unrolling toilet paper, catching spiders, playing fetch, knitting, burrowing in fresh laundered clothes, and short naps. |
Daddykitty & Mommakitty |
Mommakitty and Daddykitty adopted us from the Petaluma Animal Shelter in September 2004 (born in July). They play with us when we need the exercise, set limits when we need to understand the rules, and even nap with us. They provide a safe home for us with plenty of room to play, feed us healthy food, and encourage us to learn new things. They're the best!
Bean Gurl Sisser
Our little bean sister is a Las Vegas, Baby! She is adopted (just like us) - born December 2007. We luvs her very much and she has her own bloggie too!

I think you were - tail pulling is not any fun! I think I would have gotten cranky too!
you was absolutely right. the blurp needs to learn her boundaries wif you, and you has to be the one to set them!
Yup that was justified. You haf to let her know what is allowed and what isn't.Dad pulls my tail sometimes and mum gets mad at him and asks how he would like it.
Flynn
It was justified. But, mamakitty was trying to protect both of you by seperating you!
Mom's three year old grand blurpy came to see us Sunday and we both hid!
You didn't actually swat her did you? So I think you were a very good cat....and yes it was justified. I would have given one warning and then probably would have drawn some blood.
Junior
I hope you got to do what you wanted and she was segregated. After all you did nothing wrong.
Sabi, you din't do anyfing bad and I don't fink yore mom was punishing you or the Blurp. Blurps just haf to learn that kitties should be respekted. I fink you were furry payshent wif her, espeshly sints you din't use yore claws.
It can be a lot of work trayning Blurps! Owr mom had 5 blurpy brofurs and sisfurs, so it took a lot of cats to get them all trained just rite.
But it's worth the effort 'cos wen they are all growed up they are the best beans for taking care of cats, just like yore Mommakitty & Daddykitty.
You and Kimo are doing a grate job!! Keep up the good work.
Finny
Sabi, you did not do Wrong. Little Kiera is just learning how to interact with you. I know she's going to grow up to be a great cat lover.
You were very justified Sabi and very good not to hurt her, but just to warn her! Not many cats would be so restrained and patient. Kiera is learning all the time and at her age learning takes place through play. Good on ya for realising this! Luvzya :) xxx
Hey,m ya warned her, that's sounds reasonable to me. The Other Grandma used to have this cranky Persian cat that would thwack the Younger Human on the head like 20 times in a row (no claws) when he was a baby. Ichi (the cat) never tried to bite or anything, he'd just pop the Younger Human right on top of his bald little head, and he'd LAUGH (not that cat...) They never left them alone together, though, just in case...
Oh, yoo were justified...little blurpy's need to learn how to respect da kitty. Zippy is good at not letting dem get to carries away.
Yes you were right. You were warning her she better watch herself or she will get whapped for real.
It takes a lot of time and patience to train a Blurpy. It takes them a lot longer to learn things. Your Mommakitty did the right thing by keeping you separated.
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Blurpy girl will get past this stage, but beware til then...soon you will be napping together, we just know!
We have a blurp at our house too! But we call her the bald creature. 'cept she's not as bald as she was. But still balder than us. She likes to pet us but the staff has to make sure it's not too hard.
xo,
Romeo
You and blurp just gotta work out your boundaries, 'sall. You'll get there.
yup, sounds justified to me!
Pete has that EXACT same tent!
do you ever pounce on the top of yours to make it squish down?
You were very justified!
I agree with all the other kitties!
I have that same tent, in blue! :)
Poor Sabi. I'm sure you were totawwy justified. I hope the Bwurp will wearn not to go for your fwont paw anymore.
Boy
Sabi, we think you handled things just right. You let the blurpy know that you didn't like it, but you didn't hurt her. You just let her know "NO." We also think that Mamakitty was right too in separating you because the blurp might not have gotten the message the first time.
Tavi, Cody, Camie and Miss Jade
Yes, we think you were justified. Some kitties would have whapped the blurpy with claws out, but you were kind and patient. The blurpy has to learn. It sounds like you're a good teacher.
I think you were doing the right thing, Sabi, and taught a valuable lesson at the same time. A guy doesn't want his personal space invaded and you were just letting Blurpy know your limits.
Sabi ... Dood, you are DEFINITELY justified. I do it myself, but I don't pull any clawrs. My Uncle James' monumentally stupid mother-in-law actually pats me on the head like I'm some sort of purse-sized woofie. It's all that I can do not to tear her some new orifices (orifi?). You've gotta remind the blurp to be GENTLE.
