WAcKy WeDNeSdaY!

K: Now, . . . I know what yer gonna say . . . what's so wacky about this photo?

K: Well, I will tell you. Of course, there is nothing wacky about me being out in the yard (with a harness). But see the daffodils? What's so wacky about that you say . . .

S: . . . It's FEBRUARY! When was the last time you saw daffodils come up in February?!

K: Um, . . . I was gonna say all that. Anyhoo . . . as Sabi pointed out, it is furry wacky to see spring flowers this time of year, but we has had a warm spell here in Northern California - 75 to 80 degree weather! It should be rainin' and cold! Wazzup?!

S: Um, Kimo, . . . nobody says "wazzup" anymore. You know what's even more wacky about this photo? I'M NOT IN IT!

K: Because you had an anxiety attack about going outside - even wif a harness!

S: Um, . . . maybe, . . . I didn't want to get my feet dirty.

K: We are definitely not related.

And then my heart with pleasure fills
and dances with daffodils.

You look very nice in your harness. :)

It's been such a warm winter here in Munich (we really had only one week of winter weather) that the tulips and crocuses are blooming! And our grass is green, green, green! It's crazy.

The daffs are gorgeous. I hope you don't get another cold snap and ruin them. It was wonderful here and now some areas have snow!

We've been seeing robins thru our squirrel watching window!! It's to early for the "stupid robins" (that's what our MTLH calls em)

Hmm, although this is my first year, Mom says her daffodils ALWAYS bloom in February, about the same time as the almond blossoms, which are just starting. So she has a picture of me doing the same thing.

Kimo, you look very handsome in the lovely harness.

My Mom loves daffodils. She says that there's a variety named "February Gold" that blooms reliably in February, though we don't have that kind. We had a bunch of flowers (snowdrops, hellebores, winter aconite) start blooming in January, then we entered the deep freeze this month here in Northern Virginia. Our daffodils should bloom in March, but when Mom was a girl they didn't bloom until April.
